"Love At First Fight" (Traditional Chinese: 武十郎; Simplified Chinese: 武十郎; wu shi lang) is a Chinese Martial arts and Romantic Comedy television series. The show starred by famous Hong Kong actress Miriam Yeung , Taiwan- born Wallace Huo, George Hu, Zhang Meng, Bai Xue and Jia Nai Liang. The story set in the era of modern China. The main cast Wu Shi Lang has to tackle with her friendship, dream, family relationship, and first love with a gender twist.

Storyline

The story begins in the early morning at the Wu Residence, where Wu Ding Dang dressed up for his marriage procession with a fat lady (which is arranged by his mother). On the other hand, Wu Ding Dang's wife is giving birth to her tenth child. Wu Ding Dang's mother is frustrated with her daughter-in-law for labouring nine granddaughters and no grandson for her, therefore she strongly persuaded her son to remarried. Meanwhile, Wu Ding Dang's wife, Wu Liang Shi who nevously to born a son for the family is surprised, when she delivers another baby girl. Afraid of what is happening she quickly changes the baby with another baby boy to overwhelm her mother-in-law and husband. And the baby is named Wu Shi Lang.

In order to hide from Wu Ding Dang; Wu Shi Lang lives as a boy until becomes an adult. She dresses, walks, talks and behaves like a boy and everyone in the family believes she is a boy. Her childhood companion is Li Ya Shou and she admires him a lot. Li Ya Shou is an orphan and the son of Wu Ding Dang's best friend. Li Ya Shou lives in the Wu Residence. The story also features the Lei family, a wealthy and powerful family in the town. The Lei family are, Lei Lao Hu (the matriarch), Lei Xiao Yu (a beautiful young lady), Lei Sheng Da (a good-looking and childish gentleman) and Chang Ling Lu (the housekeeper).

Li Ya Shou is attracted with the Lei family's wealth and he begins to love Lei Xiao Yu because of the Lei's wealth. On the other hand, Lei Sheng Da falls in love with Wu Shi Lang (when she dresses like girl during the night day). Both, Wu Shi Lang and Lei Sheng Da accidentally meet at the bridge, where Lei Sheng Da asks for directions, meanwhile Wu Shi Lang is upset with Li Ya Shou for calling her ghost when she wears dresses. After a long talk, both of them have a fight and eventually, Lei Sheng Da falls in love in the first fight.

The story also shows that, the Wu and Lei family are related many years ago. When Wu Ding Dang and Lei Lao Hu was teenager, they was a lover according to Lei Lao Hu, on the other side, Wu Ding Dang says Lei Lao Hu forces him to married her. Both argues about this in front of their children. This stops, when Wu Ding Dang promises Lei Lao Hu that he will talk about this later, if Lei Lao Hu let him go. During this time, Wu Liang Shi reveals the fact that Wu Shi Lang is a girl, this surprises Wu Ding Dang. The Wu family returns home and plan to move-out from the Shi Li town to Qing Mao town, in order to escape from Lei Lao Hu.

The story also shows other characters, such as Lin Chi and A Hao. Lin Chi and A Hao growing up as orphan in Qing Mao town. Although both of them love each other, but they unable to express their love. This is because Lin Chi is a poor carpenter and A Hao is a materialistic woman (she only wants to marry rich man). A Hao is a distant relative to the Wu family. She allows the Wu family to shelter at her home when the Wu family lives in Qing Mao town. During this time, the Lei family comes to the town to search for the Wu family.

The story becomes interesting, when everyone reaches Qing Mao town, because Lei Xiao Yu begins to accept Li Ya Shou, while A Hao falls in love with Lei Sheng Da. But, only Wu Shi Lang feels lonely, because her beloved (Li Ya Shou) is belonged to another woman, and from here she begins to accept Lei Sheng Da as best friend although the naive Lei Sheng Da thought that's the first move to win her heart.

The story ends with Wu Shi Lang and Li Ya Shou become lover, while Lei Xiao Yu found her true love which is Chang Ling Lu and they get married. A Hao finally realises that money is not everything and accept Lin Chi as her husband. Only the poor Lei Sheng Da has no couple, because he only wants to bless Wu Shi Lang to be happy, and to make Wu Shi Lang happy is to let her be with the one she loves the most.

Characters

*Wu Shi Lang (Miriam Yeung) Female, 25 years old; She is the main character of this story. Wu Shi Lang is a humble and responsible person. She has a good martial arts skill, that learned from her father Wu Ding Dang. Wu Shi Lang fight for justice in the Shi Li town and Qing Mao town and appreciate her friendship with Li Ya Shou. At the end, she begins to love Li Ya Shou and Lei Sheng Da.

*Li Ya Shou (Wallace Huo) Male, 27 years old; His parents died when he was young. Li Ya Shou has the characteristic of optimistic, loyalty, and materialistic. He wishes to marry rich and beautiful woman, so it can changes his life as a poor man. Although, Li Ya Shou is very lazy and boastful, but he also appreciates the friendship with Wu Shi Lang and fight for justice.

*Lei Sheng Da (George Hu) Male, 25 years old; He is a tall, good-looking and talented gentleman. Lei Sheng Da is heavily influenced with the Western culture. He is the son of Lei Lao Hu and the younger brother of Lei Xiao Yu. He and his sister Lei Xiao Yu both have an extereme belief in love. Lei Sheng Da falls in love with Wu Shi Lang in the first time he sees her. He is optimistic and smile even having hard times. Lei Sheng Da inherits his mother's martial arts and is has good skill in "kung fu".

*Lei Xiao Yu (Zhang Meng) Female, 26 years old; She is a tall and beautiful woman. Lei Xiao Yu dreams for a true hero to appear and protect her. There are several men that she thought as her true love, such as Wu Shi Lang, Li Ya Shou and Lin Chi. But, in the end she falls in love with her housekeeper, Chang Ling Lu and they get married.

*Wu Ding Dang (Zhang Guo Li) Male, 50 years old; He is the patriach of the Wu family and inherits the great Wu family martial arts. In the beginning he opens a martial arts school, but later he manages a traditional herbal farmacy.

*Lei Lao Hu (Bai Bing Bing) Female, 40 years old; She is the mother of Lei Sheng Da and Lei Xiao Yu. She only cares for her money and how become richer. She is good in martial arts and has good knowledge in running her businesses.

*Ah Hao (Bai Xue) Female, 21 years old. She is a restaureneur. Her materialistic charcater makes her to ignore her real love. At first the thought money is everything for her, but later she accepts her fate and married to Lin Chi.

*Lin Chi (Jia Nai Liang) Male, 25 years old. He is a naive and responsible man. He only wants to live in a simple life as a carpenter. At the end of the story, he becomes rich and inherits his aunt's properties.
