Action of 20 September 1698

This inconclusive battle took place on 20 September 1698 near Samothrace, Greece. It was between Venice on one side, and Ottoman Turkey and its Tripolitan and Tunisian allies on the other. Venetian casualties were 299 killed and 622 wounded.
