Harry L. Watson is an American
historianof the antebellumSouth, Jacksonian America, and the history of North Carolina. He is Director of the Center for the Study of the American Southat the University of North Carolina.
Watson is an alumnus of
Brown Universityand received a Ph.D. from Northwestern Universityin 1976.
