Gondal Jat

Gondal Jat is one of the elite Jat clans living in Pakistan. They are believed to have accepted Islam on the inducement of famous Sufi poet Baba Farid and were instructed by him to stay in the area between the Chenab River and Jhelum Rivers.They are descendents of kirishna. There are approximately over half a million in population and are mainly living in Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin,Malakwal, Kot Momin and Midh Ranjha, Bhalwal Tehsils(30km away from Sargodha). The majority is associated with the profession of agriculture but a vey few of them are also in politics and civil services, such as police, Education and judiciary in Pakistan. few of them are also working abroad mainly in the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. they are mostly illetrate and backward.They have no main role in Pakistan.

In recent years there has been a rise of the GONDALS Jatt clan in the Punjab, becoming dominant players with people like , CH KHURRAM SHAHZAD (Leader of the Muslim League Q), CH ADNAN GONDAL Nazar Muhammd gondal Federal Minister for antinorcotics, Nadeem Afzal chan Gondal MNA, Waseem Afzal Chan MPA, Tasawar Shehzad Gondal a well known Advocate in Malakwal and many more.There is a small town named Gondal in District sialkot, a village named Gondal in Attock, a big village named Miana Gondal, a village named Gondal Wal in Gujranwala, and a State named Gondal in India.

The story of two brave Jatt GONDAL Heros: Saidoo and Dhilloo. When Nadir Shah (AD 1736), the Persian ruler, moved into Punjab on his way to Delhi. At the Indus-Jhelum doab, the Khattars, Ghaebas and Gakkhars fought against him but lost. After he crossed Jhelum, the GONDALS Jatts took him on. Najabat, a poet of the time, wrote about the accounts of valor by DHILOO and SAIDOO. They are descendents of kirishna.kirishna is considered GOD in hindu religion.They ruled kashmir for centuries.Current chieftains of gujrat (india),RAJKOT MORBI,And of several other places are from this dynasty but they say they are rajputs.this is the most under rated clan.The bravery of gondals is known to all and sundry. they are very intelligent people and talented found rarely in pakistan.They have in 1947 opposed the partition of sub continent.And for this reason rare chances are given to them in terrorist state pakistan."'
