Singapore Airlines has over 50 subsidiaries and associates, including:

IA Engineering Company Limited

SIA Engineering Company Limited (SGX: [http://info.sgx.com/serviceapp.nsf/Cpy/S59 S59] ) is a major provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in Asia-Pacific and is part of the Singapore Airlines Group. The Company has a client base of more than 80 international carriers and aerospace-equipment manufacturers. It provides line-maintenance services at Singapore Changi Airport for more than 60 international carriers, as well as airframe and component overhaul on some of the most advanced and widely-used commercial aircraft in the world.

19 joint ventures with original-equipment manufacturers and airlines in Singapore, Ireland, Taiwan, Indonesia and Philippines increase the depth and breadth of the Company's comprehensive service offerings. The combined revenue of the Group's joint ventures is approximately S$2 billion in FY2003/04, with 77% coming from non-Singapore Airlines (SIA) customers. Taking into account SIA Engineering Company's equity holding in its joint ventures, non-SIA customers contributed approximately 41% of SIA Engineering Group's business.

SIA Engineering Company has approvals from 23 national aviation regulatory authorities to provide MRO services for aircraft registered in the United States of America, major European countries and Japan, among others.

International Engine Component Overhaul

International Engine Component Overhaul Pte Ltd (IECO) is a 50/50 joint venture between Rolls-Royce plc and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC). Formed in March 1997, IECO's core business is the repair and overhaul of the Rolls-Royce Trent and RB211 Nozzle Guide Vanes and Compressor Stators using state-of-the-art technology.

ingapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited

Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited is Rolls-Royce's Asia-Pacific centre for the maintenance and repair of Trent aircraft engines. Singapore Aero Engine Services began operations in 2002. It is a joint venture between SIA Engineering Company, Rolls-Royce and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited. ingapore Airport Terminal Services Limited

Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SGX: [http://info.sgx.com/serviceapp.nsf/Cpy/S58 S58] ; abbreviation: SATS; Simplified Chinese: 新加坡机场终站服务公司) is the largest ground-handling and in-flight catering service provider at Singapore Changi Airport, as well as being involved in joint ventures at 14 other airports in the Asia-Pacific region. It is a part of the Singapore Airlines Group

ATS Security Services

SATS Security Services (SSS) is a subsidiary of Singapore Airport Terminal Services, providing security services for aviation-related activities at the Singapore Changi Airport. It provides armed auxiliary police officers for mainly airline clients, one of three companies licensed to do so in Singapore. In addition, it is also known for holding security conferences once every two years.

SATS Security Services' current General Manager is Mr Denis Marie. It also has a Superintendent seconded from the Singapore Police Force who holds appointment as Commander of its auxiliary police wing.

ingapore Flying College

The Singapore Flying College (Abbreviation: SFC) is a flight school based in Singapore, and is owned and operated by Singapore Airlines. The college conducts initial pilot training for Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Singapore Airlines Cargo, and does not accept private students for training. The SFC also operates two flight training facilities in Australia; one at Perth (Jandakot Airport), Western Australia and the other at Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast Airport), Queensland.

Tradewinds Tours and Travel Private Limited

Tradewinds Tours and Travel Private Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SilkAir, providing package tours to destinations flown by the airline, as well as chartered flights within the Asia region. The company was incorporated in 1975, and became a fully-licensed tour operator in 1984.

SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, was once known as Tradewinds Charters at its founding in 1976, before earning its present name in 1991. The chartered operations were hence continued to be handled by Tradewinds Tours and Travel.
