Baldock Town Letchworth F.C.

Baldock Town Letchworth F.C. is an English football (soccer) club based in Baldock, Hertfordshire. The club existed (as Baldock Town) from 1889 until 2001, when it folded but the name Baldock Town was revived in 2006 when a club previously called simply Baldock changed its name. This club currently plays in the Hertfordshire Senior County League.

The team's most successful period was a two-year spell in the Southern League Premier Division between 1995 and 1997. They also reached the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup on two occasions. Their last ever game was the final of the Herts Senior Challenge Cup, which they won, against Ware FC.

Baldock's main claim-to-fame was that it was the club Kevin Phillips joined after being released from his YTS contract at Southampton. Phillips, who was born in nearby Hitchin, was converted from a right back to a striker, and enjoyed great success in front of goal before being sold to Watford for the initial sum of £10,000, ultimately increasing to £30,000. He has since gone on to win 8 caps for England, and was the Premier League's top scorer for the 1999-2000 season.

Baldock Town has an extensive youth set-up and currently has 35 youth teams.
