Jarvis John Redwine is a former American football running back. Redwine was selected in the second round by the Minnesota Vikings out of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the 1981 NFL Draft.

At Nebraska, Jarvis' first season's (Junior, 1979) performance earned him an endorsement fromthen-coach Tom Osborne as Nebraska's best chance at a HeismanTrophy winner since Johnny Rodgers in 1972. Redwine suffered a brokenrib midway through his senior season, however, and dropped out of theHeisman race. Even so, he was the first Cornhusker to rush for 1,000yards in back-to-back seasons, gaining 1,119. [http://www.athlonsports.com/college-football/7725/where-are-they-now-jarvis-redwine"]
