"A Sceptic's Universe" is the first, and, as of 2008, only full-length studio album released by Spiral Architect, a Norwegian technical metal band. The album is known for its dizzying and varied time signatures, as well as for singer Øyvind Hægeland's unique style of wailing clean vocals. The album is also characterized by a thin lead guitar sound, which further complements the upfront sound of the bass.

*The title "Occam's Razor" is also the name of the principle by William of Ockham.
*"Fountainhead" is also the title of a book by Ayn Rand. One of the lines in the song, "Where's the I, Fountainhead of progress?", is reminiscent of Rand's statement "man's ego is the fountainhead of human progress".
