In Islam, David ("circa" 1043 BC - 937 BC?) is known as an appointed prophet and messenger ("Rasul") of God. It is believed David lived between 70 to 106 years. The Quran mentions him having killed Goliath(Jalut) and then God grants him wisdom and kingdom. The Psalms or the Zabur were revealed to David. He is also given the knowledge of making the armour or chain mail by God. David for very famous for his just nature.
