"WWE Afterburn" is a World Wrestling Entertainment syndicated television show which recaps events taking place on "SmackDown!" Along with "WWE Bottom Line" it replaced the WWE's previous syndicated highlight show "Superstars". The show was broadcast in the USA from May 2002 to September 2005 when it was removed from syndication.

"Afterburn" still airs in international markets to fulfill programming commitments. It is broadcast in Germany on Premiere, Australia on Channel Nine, the UK on Sky Sports, in South Africa on Supersport, in Indonesia on Lativi, in South Asia on Ten Sports, in Italy on GXT, in Philippines on Jack TV and in Portugal on Sporttv 3.

In the UK, WWE Afterburn debuted in May 2002, in WWF Metal's time slots, on Sky One and repeated throughout the week on Sky Sports. It was made Sky Sports Exclusive in 2005, and continued to air, even though it was cancelled in the United States. Afterburn debuted on Sunday Mornings at 11:00AM in the UK, on Sky One. The show was followed by Superstars, which featured matches from Sunday Night HEAT. Starting in January 2003, WWE HEAT debuted on Sky One. In 2005, the show was moved back to 9:00AM on Sky Sports 3 followed by Velocity (2005-2006)/
ECW (2006), and WWE HEAT. As of September 2006, Afterburn replaced the morning showing of ECW. On February 17 2008, Afterburn celebrated it's 300th episode, along with its sister show Bottom Line.

Australia

In Australia, WWE Afterburn debuted on June 15 2008 on Channel Nine. This is currently the only free-to-air wrestling show in Australia as Raw, SmackDown!, ECW, WWE Experience and Vintage Collection are on FOX8.
