It is located at the south-west side of the Lake Garda.
Rocca di manerba, a historical site on a hill surrounded by the city, has been almost continuously occupied from the late Neolithic to the 16th century.[2] Now the ruins on its top and a panoramic view from there, are a tourists attraction.
World heritage site
It is home to one or more prehistoric pile-dwelling (or stilt house) settlements that are part of the Prehistoric Pile dwellings around the Alps UNESCO World Heritage Site.[3]
