Year Eleven

In schools in England and Wales Year Eleven is the eleventh year after reception. This is the final year of compulsory schooling. Children's ages range between 15 and 16 years of age. Year 11 is the year in which GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams are taken. It is the last year of Key Stage 4.

In Northern Ireland, Year 11, otherwise known as Fourth Form, is the penultimate year of compulsory education. Pupils start studying for their GCSEs in this year.

In Australia, Year 11 is the penultimate year of high-school and students are aged 16-17.

In New Zealand, Year 11 (formerly fifth form) is the third-to-last year of secondary school. in this year, students normally study for NCEA Level 1

In Scotland, this is known as fourth year, and this is the year in which "Standard Grade" exams are taken.
