Igor Gräzin

Igor Gräzin

Igor Gräzin is an Estonian politician. He is currently serving as an MP in the Estonian Parliament and recently won another term in the Estonian parliamentary election, 2007. Gräzin is a member of the Estonian Reform Party which carried a sweeping victory in these elections.

In addition to his political activities, Gräzin is a senior partner of the Tallinn based law firm "Bachman and Partners".

He was the only Estonia's Riigikogu member to vote against ratifying the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe [ [http://web.riigikogu.ee/ems/plsql/minfo.votes_by_nr?dt=09.05.2006&nr=9 Haaletustulemused ] ] .

"Gräzin initiative" is his proposal to restore the withdrawn Estonian Maritime border in its traditional place (as it stood till 1993) and thus gain to Estonia influence within the "Nord Stream" project (gas pipeline between Russia and Germany routed through the Gulf of Finland). Politically: strong proponent of unified and integrated energy policy in EU.
