Čelinac (Cyrillic: Челинац) is a town and municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It lies c. convert|15|km|mi|0|abbr=on to the east of Banja Luka. The Stuplje monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church is located in the municipality.

Geography

It is located between municipalities of Laktaši and Prnjavor in the north, Teslić in the east, Kotor Varoš and Kneževo in the south, and Banja Luka in the west.

Inhabited places

In the municipality of Čelinac you can also find the villages Strbe (main village in the municipality of Čelinac), Josavka, Snjegotina, and Grabovac. Serbs are the overwhelming majority in these villages (99.9%) and most of the natives of these villages have emigrated to Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovenia, because of a high degree of poverty in this municipality.
