Fadilla

Fadilla

Fadilla or Aurelia Fadilla (159-died after 192) was a daughter of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius and Roman Empress Faustina the Younger, a sister to Roman Empress Lucilla and Roman Emperor Commodus. She was named in honor of her late maternal aunt.

Fadilla married Marcus Peducaeus Plautius Quintillus. Peducaeus came from a family of consular rank and was consul in 177 and then again at an unknown date with Commodus. The children of Fadilla and Peducaeus were Plautius Quintillus and Plautia Servilla. Plautia Servilla married her maternal cousin, the consul Tiberius Claudius Severus Proculus (son of Annia Aurelia Galeria Faustina and consul Gnaeus Claudius Severus Arabianus). Their child a daughter Annia Faustina, became a Roman Empress and third wife of Roman Emperor Elagabalus.
