"Once And Never Again" is the second major label single from UK indie rock band The Long Blondes. It was released in October 2006, shortly before their debut album Someone To Drive You Home.[1]

Meaning

The song details a 19 year old girl who is emotionally troubled due to problems with her boyfriend, and thus self-harms. The song is sung through the perspective of an older lesbian temptress who plans to seduce her [2]
