The Washington University School of Engineering is a part of Washington University in St. Louis. Founded in 1854, the engineering school is a world-class research institution occupying seven buildings on Washington University’s Danforth Campus.

The Engineering School is about to embark upon the construction of [http://www.engineering.wustl.edu/NewEngineeringComplex.aspx three new facilities] on the Danforth Campus, at the area bounded by Skinker Blvd, Brookings Dr, and Forest Park Parkway. These facilities will cost upwards of $100 million and be dedicated to different departments of the Engineering school; the complex should be completed by 2011.Fact|date=April 2008
