"Paraksenes Eikones" ( _el. Παράξενες Εικόνες) (Strange Images) is the name of a Greek album by singer Anna Vissi. The album was released in Greece and Cyprus in late December 2003. It was re-released as a "Summer Edition" in the summer of 2004. This was the first album in years of Anna Vissi that included other composers than Nikos Karvelas. The album reached 2X Platinum and sold about 100 000 copies. The album was later officially released by Sony BMG in Turkey and Bulgaria. It also featured the song "Eisai" which became Call Me in English which topped the Billboard Dance Charts in 2005. The song "Treno" was voted the "song of the year" for 2004 by many Greek polls and was awarded so by the Arion Awards. "Treno" also won the Arion Award for best video clip, and also "song of the year" in both 2003 and 2004 for Cyprus.

Singles

** "Min Psahnis Tin Agapi"

The first promo single from the album was released on the radios on 31st of October 2003 and soon became #1. The video clip of the song won best video clip on Arion Awards (2005), and sexiest presence on video clip on MAD VMA (2005).

** "Treno"

The most successful single of Vissi's since "Agapi Ipervoliki" (2000, from the album Kravgi), hit the stations together with the release of the album "Paraxenes Eekones". It soon hit #1 on the Greek and Cypriot airplay charts. In Greece it remained on the #1 position for 13 weeks!!! It won the award for Song Of The Year 2003 in Arion Awards, the video for the single won the best video award (Arion 2004) and the best dressed artist (MAD Video Music Awards 2004), the single was voted "Single of the year" for 2003 and 2004 from the audience of the #1 radio station in Cyprus Super FM.

** "Eisai"

The 3rd promo single from the album hit #2 on the Greek airplay charts. It was prevented from scoring #1 by "Treno". On that week Vissi's songs Treno and Ise occupied #1 and #2 spot of the charts. The single re-entered the Greek charts in the summer 2004 with the help of the "Elias Pantazopoulos Remix" version, taken from the EP "Remixes 2004".

** "Erimi Poli" (Cyprus only)

The song hit #1 on the Cypriot airplay charts on the first weeks of 2004.

** "Psichedelia"

The 4th promotional single from the album hit the #1 on the Cypriot charts early in 2004 and top 20 on the Greek charts in September 2004.

** "Eho Pethanei Gia Sena"

Released as a promo single in April 2004 it entered the top 5 of the Greek & Cypriot airplay charts.

** "Fevgo" (Cyprus only)

In autum 2004 the song hit #10 position on the Cypriot airplay charts.

Chart Performance

"Paraksenes Eikones" was released in Greece and Cyprus in December 2003. It debuted at no1 in both countries and gained Platinum status on the first day of its release in Cyprus and on the second day of its release in Greece. It became 2X Platinum in Greece in April, and 2X Platinum in Cyprus in May.
