State Road 19 is a Florida State Road in Putnam, Marion, and Lake counties. It runs from Groveland to Palatka. It provides access to areas in Ocala National Forest, like Pittman.

Route description

Starting at U.S. Route 17 in Palatka, the road goes southwest, bypassing Downtown Palatka. It starts out as a 4 lane road. SR 100 is the first major junction on the highway. If you turned right on SR 100, you'll see the Kay Larken Field, the airport that serves the Palatka Area. After the junction, the road widens into a superhighway. It passes the Palatka Mall. The next major junction is SR 20. After that, the road narrows into 4 lanes, then 2 lanes after East Relim Drive. South of the power lines, the area around SR 19 is forest. 5 miles southward, the road turns more directly to the south and crosses the Cross Florida Barge Canal. 3 miles south of the bridge is another bridge that crosses the Ocklawaha River. Next up is the intersection of Salt Springs Highway and enters Ocala National Forest. Just 5 miles to the southeast, the highway dominates the western shores of Lake George, part of the St. Johns River. As the road winds through the Ocala National Forest, the road intersects with SR 40 near Lake County. Just west of Lake Dorr is the village of Pittman. Next, it enters Altoona and exits the Ocala National Forest. The road becomes 4 lanes wide in Umatilla. A few miles south is Eustis and an intersection with SR 44. SR 19 turns right onto US 441 and marks the southern end of the mainline of SR 19. It heads west to Tavares, the county seat of Lake County. 16 blocks to the west, the highway turns left and heads in a north-south direction again. It crosses Lake Harris and Little Lake Harris. It bounds the big lake to the west, and the little lake to the east. Near Florida's Turnpike, the road enters the wetland of Little Everglades. The road passes under the turnpike and then under US 27, where it has an interchange that includes a partial interchange with the turnpike. 6 miles to the south is Groveland, the southern end of SR 19. It ends at SR 50.
