Yateley School is the largest secondary school in North East Hampshire, England. The school teaches over 1500 students a range of subjects and it caters for children aged 11 - 16 and the attached sixth form college for ages 16-18, with a large campus. Its headteacher is Mr William Sarell. The school has Arts College status.

School Campus

Yateley School is known for having a range of facilities. On campus there is a Swimming Pool, Drama Studios, Library, Sports Hall, Gymnastics Hall, Cafeteria, Tennis Courts and 2 large playing fields. Since being named a performing arts college, the school has introduced a new Dance Studio. The studio cost approximately £1,200,000 and was designed by Hampshire County Council’s award-winning in-house architectural & design services team. The school is situated in the relatively small town of Yateley yet is the largest secondary school in Hampshire.

A Block is among the schools main buildings, which on the bottom floor of teaches Geography, ICT, Psychology, Politics, Social Studies and Law. The second and third floor of 'A Block' teach all 3 sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Biology)

B Block is the largest building on the campus and functions as the main administrative area. The bottom floor houses the main hall, one of two gymnasiums, reception, ICT rooms, staff offices and a common room as well as the nurses office, reprographics and finances. The second floor provides classrooms for modern languages such as French and Spanish. Finally, the third floor has three art classrooms and one room for Classics and Latin.

Brunel Building is connected to 'B Block'. The Brunel Building, named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, comprises three technology rooms on the ground floor. The first floor has classrooms for Business Studies and PSHE. Through the ceiling of the second floor is the third floor. The third floor has two classrooms with facilities for Graphics lessons.

C Block is opposite the 'Brunel Building'. The bottom floor of 'C Block' is mainly set aside for use by the sixth form college, providing the Common Room and Study Rooms. However there are also a few Maths classrooms on the 1st floor and more on the 2nd floor. There are also 2 computer classrooms on the top floor of C Block.

Home Economics Building is on the other side of the 'Brunel Building'. The Home Economics building has 3 classrooms that are used for cooking and catering classes. They contain cookers, sinks, microwaves and additional tools for cooking tuition. There is also another design technology classroom attached to the Home Economics building.

Music block has 2 classrooms for lower and upper school students who study music and 1 classroom for upper school students. On the end of music block there is a corridor of small practice rooms which students can have private music lessons in or may be used during lesson times to practice a piece.

D Block is on the other end of campus to 'A Block'. The teachers in 'D Block' teach subjects such as English, History, Media Studies and R.S (Religious Studies). English is situated on the bottom floor.

School Uniform

Like most schools in the area, Yateley School requires students to wear School Uniform. This consists of:

*Navy-blue V-necked sweater with narrow house stripe trim at neck and school badge
*Navy-blue trousers or skirt for girls, black trousers for boys
*White polo shirt or blouse
*Official Yateley School tie for boys
*Black sweater for Year 11s

The school does not permit students to wear trainers, or other fashionable shoes. It also does not allow students to have excessive jewellery, or to have their hair dyed in an over-zealous way.
