Alpro

Founded in 1980, as an offshoot of the Vandemoortele Group the company was initially based in Belgium [ [http://corporate.alpro.com/alpro/UK_en/know_more/index.html Alpro soya - Where to find us? ] ] , but has expanded throughout Western Europe, by means ofnew plants or mergers. The company built a new soy milk plant in Kettering in 2000.

The company distributes a range of soy based vegetarian / vegan products under two different brands:
* The cheaper Alpro Soya [ [http://www.alprosoya.com/ Alpro soya - A healthy decision ] ] , where only the used soy beans are certified organic.

Examples of products include soy milk, soy yogurt, soy cream and soy based desserts.
