Oicles

Oicles

In Greek mythology, Oecles (also Oicles - Οἰκλῆς, or Oicleus - Οἰκλεύς, or Oikleidês - Οἰκλείδης[1]) was an Argive king, father of Amphiaraus, son of Mantius or Antiphates and grandson of Melampus.[2][3][4][5]

He helped Heracles fight Laomedon and/or the sea monster attacking Troy and died in the battle.[6][7] Others, however, report that he was buried in Arcadia.[8]
