Hanwood is a town in the central Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located 5 kilometres south of Griffith, New South Wales and is in the City of Griffith Local Government Area. At the 2006 census, Hanwood had a population of 583.Census 2006 AUS

Hanwood is known for its wineries, in particular the McWilliam's winery, established in 1913.

The winery is home to the famous bottle shaped tasting room.They have a wide array of wines, bottles and memoribllia displayed in the 17 metre long museum in the shape of a bottle and are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
