* Pallor, a reduced amount of oxyhemoglobin in skin or mucous membrane
* Whitening transform, transforming a signal source to make it appear closer to white noise.
* Key whitening, a technique, in cryptography, for improving the security of a block cipher
* The process of making something whiter
* Part of the leather crusting process
