Aisenstadt Prize

The "Andre Aisenstadt [ [http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/André_Aisenstadt André Aisenstadt] ] Prize" recognizes a young Canadian mathematician's outstanding achievement in pure or applied mathematics. It has been awarded annually since 1992 (except in 1994, when no prize was given) by the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques. In 2007, it was won by Greg Smith of Queen's University [ [http://qnc.queensu.ca/campusnews_article_loader.php?id=4586fd66bbf55 Mathematician wins research prize] , Queen's University, December 18, 2006.] and Alexander Holroyd of the University of British Columbia. The 2008 prize was given to Jozsef Solymosi of the University of British Columbia and Jonathan Taylor of the Université de Montréal.
