Povenets ( _ru. Повенец; _fi. Poventsa) is an urban-type settlement in Medvezhyegorsky District of the Republic of Karelia, Russia, located on the shore of Lake Onega, 231 km north of Petrozavodsk. Population: ru-census2002|2608|; su-census1989|4208|.
