South Amboy is a station on New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line located in South Amboy, New Jersey, United States. The station is 2½ miles east of Perth Amboy station and 5 miles west of Aberdeen-Matawan station. Electric trains from the north started terminating here in 1938, and many still do. This station is located at grade level on Mason Street, and has two low side platforms with three tracks.

South Amboy station recently began to be upgraded for ADA and handicap access. Phase one of this project included the building of a new pedestrian overpass allowing safe transfers across the three tracks at the station. Among the new improvements to the station are a new ticket office, canopies, lighting, and signage when construction finishes in 2009.
