Bihor, Montenegro

Bihor was a former town approximately 10 km north of present-day Berane. It was founded before 1450.

Name

The name "Bihor" was first mentioned in 1450 in one document in the Dubrovnik archives, "In loco vocato Bichor".

History

Bihor was founded well before 1450. In 1455, the Turks captured the city.

Today, the town is in ruins. The ruins are up to 3 metres.

Geography

Not much is known of the town's geography. For certain, Bihor was on a plateau.
