language=Italian.] is a red wine grape that is grown in northwestern Italy around Turin. The grape produces a light, fruity wine that is sometime served chilled. Bonarda wine is comfortably served at the cellar temperature, and enjoyable other than during meals.

Despite the similarities of their synonyms, the grape is not related to Charbono/Corbeau in Argentina nor the Croatina grape, which make tannic wines similar to Piedmont's Dolcetto.
