Achilleion (Thessaly)

Achilleion (Thessaly)

Achilleion is an early Neolithic site in Thessaly, Greece. It was partly excavated by the American archaeologist Marija Gimbutas. She claims to have reached aceramic layers, similar to those at Argissa Magoula, but this interpretation has been disputed due to the small extent of the trench.
