Heinrich Brunn

Heinrich Brunn (January 23, 1822July 23, 1894) was a German archaeologist.

Brunn studied archaeology and philology in Bonn. In 1843 he received his doctorate degree with the work "Artificum liberae Graeciae tempora" and moved to Italy. He worked at the German Archaeological Institute in Rome until 1853. In 1865 he was promoted inaugal professor for archaeology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. Among his pupils were Gustav Körte, Adolf Furtwängler, Paul Arndt, Walther Amelung, Arthur Milchhöfer and Heinrich Bulle.
