The A6 highway ( _hr. Autocesta A6) is a highway in northern Croatia. The highway has two lanes and the lane for disabled vehicles in both directions. On the ascents and descents steeper than 5% a third lane for the slow vehicles is built. The highway is not yet completed in the full profile. Stretches Oštrovica - Vrata and Ravna Gora - Vrbovsko are operated as a semi-highway. These two sections are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008. A6 is owned and maintained by Autocesta Rijeka - Zagreb (ARZ), a private contractor. The whole highway is tolled. A6 is notorious because of numerous accidents which happen and because of the toll imposed even on dangerous two-lane semi-highway sections prone to speeding.
