Michael "Mike" Felger is a television sports reporter and anchorman for Comcast SportsNet New England. He also co-hosts an afternoon sports radio talk with The Boston Globe online columnist Tony Massarotti on WBZ-FM "98.5 The Sports Hub" in Boston.[1]
Previously, Felger was the Boston Herald's New England Patriots beat columnist, a position he held from 1999 to 2008. He joined the paper in 1989, and was the lead reporter for the Boston Bruins from 1997 to 1999. He also hosted a talk radio show from 3-6 p.m. on weekdays on ESPN Radio's Boston affiliate, WAMG, called The Mike Felger Show. The show ran from 2005 to 2008, at which time Felger left at the end of his contract. He moved on as a web site columnist and fill-in host for Boston sports radio station WEEI while continuing his television work on Comcast SportsNet. Felger began to host an afternoon drive-time show with Tony Massarotti on WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub upon its launch in August 2009.[2]
Originally from Wisconsin,[3] Felger is a graduate of Boston University. He lives outside Boston with his wife, television anchorwoman Sara Underwood, and their daughter Emma.
