Jason Hill (born February 20, 1985) is an American football wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers.

Pro career

Hill was selected in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. At the 2007 NFL Combine, Hill ran a 4.32 in the 40-yard dash, making him the second fastest receiver in the draft behind Yamon Figurs (4.30). Hill had better times than more well-known receivers such as Calvin Johnson (American football)
Calvin Johnson
(4.35), Robert Meachem (4.38), and Ted Ginn, Jr. (4.38).

Hill played sparingly in his rookie year with the 49ers, appearing in only five games due to lingering hamstring and groin injuries. He finished the season with one reception for six yards and four special teams tackles.

College career

Hill played collegiately at Washington State University. In his last three seasons (2004-2006), he recorded 32 touchdown catches to shatter the school career-record of 22 set by Hugh Campbell (1960-62) and tied for second on Pac-10's all-time list. He also accumulated 2,704 career receiving yards to break Campbell’s former school career-record of 2,452. His 148 career receptions rank second in school history behind Campbell’s 176. In what was considered a somewhat disappointing senior season, Hill finished the 2006 season with 41 receptions for 600 yards (14.6 avg.) and seven touchdowns. That paled somewhat in comparison to his junior and sophomore seasons: As a junior he received All-Pac 10 Conference second-team honors from the league’s coaches and College Football News after finishing fourth in Pac-10 with a career-high 1,097 yards on a team-high 62 receptions (17.7 avg.) In the process, he broke his own school season-record with 13 touchdown catches. As a sophomore, he led the team with 45 receptions for 1,007 yards (22.4 avg.) and a then-school season-record 12 touchdowns. That performance earned him All-Pac 10 Conference second-team honors. In addition, he received his team's Offensive Most Valuable Player award. As a true freshman, he played strictly on special teams, recording a team-high 12 special-team tackles, and also blocked a punt that he returned 25 yards.
