Gordon Power Station, Tasmania

Gordon Power Station is a hydroelectric power station below the Gordon Dam in south west Tasmania.

It has three Francis style turbines, The first two turbines, each 144 MW, were commissioned in 1978. A third 144 MW turbine was commissioned in 1988 (combined output of 432Mw). The power station draws water from Lake Gordon, and, by way of the McPartlans Pass canal, from Lake Pedder.
