Oerlikon Balzers (OE) is a supplier of PVD coatings which improves the performance and service lives of metallic precision components. These coating are very hard and very thin, reduce friction and improve hardness of components. (0E) also is a supplier in textile, drive systems, vacuum technologies, solar, coating, and advanced technologies.

History and corporate
(0E) was created in 1946 in Liechtenstein [1]. The firm has grown very quickly, and now owns 5 corporate sites and 85 coating centers (as of 2011) all over the world, like (Germany, USA, Italy, France, UK, Brazil, Japan, India and Liechtenstein). 16,155 people now work for (0E) as of (2011). The turnover is equivalent to 4.599 billion € with a net Income of 113 Millions €. (0E) is one of only a few company's that make Physical vapor deposition (PVD).
Liechtenstein
(0E) continues to use Liechtenstein as its headquarters, and is currently stationed in Balzers near the heliport, where over 1000 people are employed. With the support of Prince Franz Josef II, (0E) was founded in Liechtenstein, (0E) stated that Liechtenstein offered low taxes and at the time low wages (currently Liechtenstein has the second highest income in the world after Monaco).
