Chanae ( _th. จะแนะ) is a district ("Amphoe") in the southern part of Narathiwat province, southern Thailand.

History

"Chanae" is the Malay name of a native "Colocasia" species.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the west clockwise) Betong and Than To of Yala province, Sisakhon, Ra-ngae, Sukhirin of Narathiwat province and the state Kelantan of Malaysia.

Administration

The district is subdivided into 4 subdistricts ("tambon"), which are further subdivided into 29 villages ("muban"). There are no municipal ("thesaban") areas, and 4 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
