Among its products:
*Brioschi is an Italian-manufactured antacid which uses sodium bicarbonate as its active agent. It is known for the distinctive blue bottle in which it comes and the fizzing action it exhibits when used. The brioschi itself comes in several small pale, natural lemon/tan colored rods, which are put in cool water to effervesce and then drank to relieve the ache of heartburn. This product is known to cause a laxative effect in certain cases. It works well for most stomach pain caused by consuming food products that are high in fat content. It appears to have an "Alka-Seltzer like" reaction when placed in water, but it is much more effective than Alka-Seltzer and does not contain aspirin. The price varies from retailer to retailer, but expect to pay between as low as $4.99 per bottle at A&P to upward of $8.99 at certain NYC locations such as Duane Reade. This product is not found in Wal-Mart which is very surprising.

Achille Brioschi's product is mentioned in Umberto Eco's novel "The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana".
