Jonathan Stevens Jackson (born May 11, 1982) is a triple Daytime Emmy-winning American actor, known as the child actor who played Lucky Spencer, son of supercouple Luke and Laura on the American daytime drama "General Hospital" (1993-1999). He also played the lead, Jesse Tuck, in the 2002 film "Tuck Everlasting".

Biography

Career

Jackson is most famous as Lucky Spencer on "General Hospital", a role he played from 1993 to 1999. Jackson has a very close relationship to his onscreen parents, Anthony Geary and Genie Francis, and still calls Geary one of his closest friends to this day. Jackson won three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor for his role as Lucky in 1995, 1998, and 1999.

Jackson has starred the in movies "Camp Nowhere", "Trapped in a Purple Haze", "The Deep End of the Ocean", "Tuck Everlasting", "", "Insomnia", and Stephen King's "Riding the Bullet". He made two guest appearances in "Boy Meets World" during the 1997-98 season.

In addition to acting, Jackson plays guitar and sings in a band with his brother, Richard. The band is called Enation, and they have released a few albums. The previous names of the band were Jono and the Rock, Scarlet River and Scarlet Road. Several of the band's songs were aired on "General Hospital", the most memorable being his ballad "Elizabeth". Most recently, a song by Enation titled "Feel This" was prominently featured on the television series "One Tree Hill", which stars Enation member Michael Galeotti's wife Bethany Joy Galeotti. He guest-starred on the first season of as Kyle Reese, the father of John Connor. Jackson reprised his role in the second season in the episode "Goodbye To All That."

Personal life

Jackson was born in Orlando, Florida, the son of Jeanine, a manager, and Richard Lee Jackson, Sr., a family practitioner and musician. His older brother, Richard Lee, is also an actor and the drummer in their band, Enation. His older sister, Candice, is a lawyer and a published author. He is also politically active. He married former "General Hospital" actress Lisa Vultaggio on June 21, 2002. They have a son, Caleb, born on June 21, 2003 and a daughter, Adora, born in the summer of 2005. The family splits their time between Washington and Los Angeles.
