- Charlestown High School (Indiana)
Charlestown High School is located in the northeastern part of
Charlestown, Indiana . Charlestown is in the southeastern part of Indiana, not far from Louisville Kentucky. Charlestown's teams are known as the "Pirates", a pattern that descends down to Charlestown's middle and elementary schools. In 2007 it has a student population of 668; the school could hold 700. The new school will consist of 100 acres (as opposed to the current building's 30-40 acres) and is intended to educate 900 students. A year later, on November 13, 2007, it was decided the new school will consist partially of parts of the current school, and will hold 900 students, with the possibility of being expanded to 1,200.
