FK Dečić (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Дечић, is a football club from Tuzi, Montenegro, currently competing in the First League of Montenegro. It is a part of Dečić sport society.

History

Founded in 1926.

Dečić's first participations in official competitions were at the start of the second half of the 20th century, when a club from Tuzi played matches in the regional leagues. Before 1990's Dečić played a few seasons in the Republic League of Montenegro. In the following years the team often played in the Third league. At the start of the new century, without money and elementary sources, the club dropped to the ‘bottom’— the Fourth Regional League.

A few years later, in 2005, Dečić made an impressive ‘jump’ from fourth to second league, and since the 2006/07 season the club is playing in the Montenegrin First League. Dečić played their first match at the highest level in August 2006, playing against FK Mogren in Budva. The game finished in a tie (1:1). At the end of that season Dečić finished in 10th place and won a relegation playoff against FK Ibar to remain in the First League.

The best known player to come up through the club is Refik Šabanadžović who later went on to a notable career with FK Željezničar Sarajevo and Red Star Belgrade. Other notable Dečić players are Ardian Đokaj and Sanibal Orahovac.

Stadium

FK Dečić plays its home games at Stadion Tuško Polje in Tuzi. The stadium has 1,000 seats. The stadium was rebuilt in 2004, because the stadium had no terraces. Due to that Dečić had to play a few seasons at the stadiums of the neighboring FK Zeta and FK Mladost (Podgorica).

The highest attendance at Tuško Polje Stadium was 3000, in August 2006, for the game against FK Budućnost Podgorica which finished 0:3.
