Jon Dalton, also known as Jonny Fairplay (born March 11 1974), is a reality TV participant and former art consultant from Danville, Virginia who came in third place as a competitor on the reality TV show '. He also appeared in the sixteenth season of "Survivor", ', and was the first contestant voted out.

Early life

Jon Dalton attended George Washington School, followed by college at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

Dalton started in wrestling in 1998 in North Carolina, and then moved to Oregon where, as Jonny Fairplay, he started his own promotion, New Dimension Wrestling (not to be confused with a similarly-named Carolinas' promotion). There he served as promoter and heel commentator. During this time, he also ran his own weekly online professional wrestling radio talk show, having various wrestlers on as guest commentators.

There was indeed such a challenge, and Dalton's friend told him, according to plan, that his grandmother had died. Dalton pretended to be shocked and upset by the news, which earned him a great deal of sympathy from the other players (except Sandra, although he did swear on his dead grandmother in order to reform an alliance with Sandra), which in turn allowed Dalton to constantly switch alliances, earning him a spot in the final three. (During the reunion show that aired after the season finale, Probst did a brief interview with Jon's grandmother, who was in fact alive and healthy.)

At the final three, Lill (who won the final immunity challenge, and therefore could choose either Dalton or Sandra Diaz-Twine) chose to take Diaz-Twine instead of Dalton. Morris lost to Diaz-Twine 6-1 vote. It was revealed in reunion show if Morris would have picked Dalton instead of Diaz-Twine, she would have won 4-3. [Survivor Pearl Islands Reunion show. Probst has since publicly said:

When he shows up drunk or flips somebody off, he's bringing you gold every time. I wish we had a Jonny Fairplay every season. Personally, however, he's an absolute jackass whose actions at the "Vanuatu" finale after-party pissed me off so much that he's banned from any event that I'm at from now on. I'm done with Jonny Fairplay." Other appearances

In 2005, Dalton appeared in the reality television program, "Kill Reality", which follows various reality television personalities as they film a horror movie. Dalton turned out to be the "star" of the show as it detailed his outrageous antics, which culminated in him defecating on another cast member's bed and getting kicked out of house. The horror film, "The Scorned", aired on E! in October 2005 and was subsequently released as a DVD with extra nudity and violence. During the television show, Dalton revealed having a past relationship with Tonya Cooley, and a friendship with Trishelle Cannatella, both of "Real World" fame.

Dalton wrote for the "Survivors Strike Back" blog for CBS' official "Survivor" website during "".

Dalton was featured on an episode of the A&E reality show "Inked". Upon entering the store Dalton stated, "Time for a tattoo for Jonny Fairplay, the most hated man in reality television." A couple next to him began to tell him how hated he is, and he gave them a middle finger salute. Upon seeing this transpire, Thomas Pendleton, an artist and the face of "Hart & Huntington" tattoo parlour, had Dalton thrown out of the store. Given that a reality show was being filmed in the store, it is possible that Dalton used the incident as some sort of publicity stunt.

In August 2005, Dalton appeared in an all-reality stars opening round of tournament six of "Celebrity Poker Showdown". On June 26 2006 he appeared on "Fear Factor" Reality stars special edition. On February 2 2007 he appeared on "Judge Mathis" as a "witness" to the defendant.

In August 2007, he was back on television when CMT cast Dalton in "Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge". He was among nine other celebrities cast on the show. Wrestling career

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2004-2005)

After his first "Survivor" appearance, Dalton was signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling where he appeared under the Jonny Fairplay moniker. In mid January, vignettes began airing hyping his debut in the company. He made his debut on January 21, but was interrupted by A.J. Styles. The two feuded for several weeks, and on February 25, Fairplay brought in Lex Luger to get revenge on Styles and cost him the NWA World Tag Team Championship.

He made brief, non-wrestling appearances at both "Final Resolution 2005" and at "Destination X 2005". In October 2005, Dalton (as Jonny Fairplay) was a co-host, along with Jeremy Borash, of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's syndicated show "Xplosion". He is currently no longer under contract to TNA.

Independent circuit (2006-2008)

On October 7 2006, Fairplay was defeated by Molly Holly after a low blow and quick pin fall at a WCWA event. One month later, Fairplay and the Hardkore Kidd defeated Frankie Kazarian.

Dalton made an appearance in Ring of Honor, an American professional wrestling promotion, on March 31, 2007 in Detroit, Michigan. He was introduced as an ally for Chris Hero and Larry Sweeney for the night. He was on the receiving end of a lariat from Nigel McGuiness later on.

Dalton made another appearance in ROH on May 10, 2008 in Manhattan, NY. He was a guest for Larry Sweeney, but was chased off quickly by Delirious.

Dalton made an appearance in IWA East Coast on August 6 2008 in South Charleston, West Virginia, where he accompanied Chris Hero for Hero's match with Shiima Xion.

Altercation with Danny Bonaduce

On October 2, 2007, Fairplay was in an altercation with celebrity Danny Bonaduce during the "Fox Reality Really Awards". Fairplay was on stage after the end of the Awards show and being loudly booed by the audience, which Fairplay seemed to be confused about. Bonaduce walked on stage and told Fairplay the audience reaction was "because they hate you," and then started to walk back off stage. Fairplay then yelled "Whoa, whoa, Danny, Danny," causing Bonaduce to turn back around and face Fairplay. Fairplay ran and leaped onto Bonaduce's chest and stomach, holding onto Bonaduce around his neck, and started "monkey-humping" Bonaduce's chest. Fairplay stated that this action is part of his act, but Bonaduce said that he felt it was an assault and was especially uncomfortable with Fairplay's hands near his throat. Bonaduce lifted Fairplay by his legs, heaving Fairplay headfirst up and over Bonaduce's head.

Fairplay hit the stage face first behind Bonaduce, unable to break the fall with his hands since he held on to the microphone. He lay on the floor a few seconds before standing up and staggering off stage holding his face. He has since claimed that the fall knocked out a tooth (which shattered into eight pieces), moved three more within his mouth, damaged the supporting bone, and broke a toe.

In a later interview with website TMZ, Fairplay stated he had filed a police report and that authorities were only waiting for a copy of the video before pressing charges against Bonaduce. As of Friday, October 5, 2007, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney, Jeffrey Boxer, announced that Danny Bonaduce would not be charged in the incident, stating that there was "insufficient evidence" that Bonaduce committed battery. He also noted that Bonaduce's "actions fell within the realm of self-defense" due to Fairplay having "initiated contact and act [ing] offensively" toward Bonaduce. After the incident Fairplay was treated by EMT's backstage and then taken to hospital for further treatment. A woman took a photo of Fairplay while he was leaving the backstage area, prompting him to grab the camera from her and smash it on the floor while the woman repeatedly said, "I'm sorry!" The woman was not a papparazzo and is thought to be a member of the public or staff. Personal life

Dalton married "America's Next Top Model" contestant Michelle Deighton on June 14, 2008.Fact|date=July 2008 They have one daughter, Piper Addison born January 16, 2008.
