"Acid Food" is a song by Glaswegian post-rock band Mogwai from their 2006 album, "Mr. Beast".

Musical structure

The song begins with a guitar playing two chords (D major and A major). At (0:12), a simple, yet heavily manipulated electronica drumbeat enters. At (0:38), what could be called a verse begins, where vocals by Stuart Braithwaite are sung. At (1:03), what could be called the song's chorus begins, with Barry Burns singing through a vocoder. Another verse and chorus are performed, until (2:44), where a lap steel guitar (played by Dave McGowan) is made use of. At (3:08), all instruments bar the lap steel guitar and the normal guitars stop playing. The guitars harmonise with each other, and gently fade out.

Other Uses

Acid Food is also referred to food that can be eaten while one is tripping on LSD, such as grapes and bread.
