Ashley Smith (journalist)

Ashley Smith is an American marxist activist, journalist and editor. He is a paid organizer for the International Socialist Organization, was the Vermont campaign coordinator for the 2004 election campaign of Ralph Nader and Peter Camejo, and helped found the Burlington Anti-War Coalition in opposition to the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and the Iraq War. He is on the editorial board of the "International Socialist Review" and has written for left-wing publications such as Counterpunch, "Dissident Voice", Socialist Worker, and ZNet. He is the secretary of the Vermont chapter of the National Writers Union, UAW 1981.
