Bangkalan Regency is a regency ( _id. kabupaten) of East Java province in Indonesia. The seat of its government is Bangkalan. The regency is located on the west side of Madura Island, bordering with Sampang Regency at the east, Java Sea at the north and Madura Strait at west and the south side.

Kamal port is the main gateway between the Madura island and Java island, where ferries serve the port with the Ujung port nearby Surabaya. In the future, a plan has been developed to build the Suramadu Bridge connecting Java and Madura islands, which will be the longest bridge in Indonesia.

Bangkalan Regency is included in the Gerbangkertosusila development regions, an extended region of Surabaya industrial areas.

Administratevly, the regency is divided into 18 sub-districts, which are further divided more into a number of villages.
