Recorded Picture Company

Recorded Picture Company

Recorded Picture Company is a British film production company founded in 1971 by producer Jeremy Thomas. Its first production was in 1976 with Jerzy Skolimowski’s "The Shout", which became a critical hit. Since then, Recorded Picture Company has produced films such as "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence", "Bad Timing", and the Oscar-winning "The Last Emperor". In recent times, the company has produced unconventional but acclaimed films such as two films from David Cronenberg, "Naked Lunch" and "Crash", Jonathan Glazer’s "Sexy Beast", Bernardo Bertolucci’s "The Dreamers" and Terry Gilliam’s "Tideland".
