Hugues Duboscq (born
August 29 ,1981 inSaint Lô ,Manche ) is a Frenchbreaststroke swimmer , who has competed for his country in three consecutiveSummer Olympics , beginning in the 2000 at the Sydney Games. He has won three Olympic bronze medals.Career
Duboscq has competed for France since 2000. In 2002, he won his first individual medal at the
European LC Championships 2002 inBerlin : bronze in the 100 m breaststroke event. Two years later, he won his first Olympic medal, earning the bronze in the 100 m breaststroke at the2004 Summer Olympics inAthens .After swimming superbly at the European Championships in Eindhoven, Duboscq managed to qualify for the Beijing Games in the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke events. At Beijing, he won the bronze medal in both events. Being the best French breaststroker, he is expected to be a member of the medley relay team as well.
