Hashima District, Gifu

Hashima (羽島郡; -gun) is a district located in Gifu, Japan.

As of 2006 population data but with the decrease due to the January 1, 2006 merger of Yanaizu, the district has an estimated population of 45,496 and a density of 2,492 persons per km². The total area is 18.26 km².

Mergers

On November 1, 2004 the former town of Kawashima merged into the expanded city of Kakamigahara.

On January 1, 2006 the former town of Yanaizu merged into the capital city of Gifu Prefecture, Gifu.
