Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video

Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video

The Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video has been awarded since 1984. A similar award for Best Long Form Music Video has also been awarded since 1984. In 1988 and 1989 the award criteria were changed and the video awards were presented for Best Concept Music Video and Best Performance Music Video. In 1990 the awards were returned to the original format. For videos winning the award, the performer(s), director(s), and producer(s) all receive Grammys.

The award has had several minor name changes:

*From 1984 to 1985 the award was known as Best Video, Short Form
*From 1986 to 1997 (except for 1988 and 1989) it was awarded as Best Music Video, Short Form
*Since 1998 it has been awarded as Best Short Form Music Video
