John Rennie High School (JRHS), located in Pointe Claire, Quebec, Canada, is an English language secondary school which opened in 1955. The school was named after Hon. John Rennie, the local MNA.

John Rennie is administered by the Lester B. Pearson School Board.

Famous students

This school is well-known for its many athletes and professional sports players, such as Vincent Lecavalier of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, as well as Peter Worrell, former Florida Panthers and Colorado Avalanche tough-guy. Worrell is currently in South Florida helping to coach the youth travel team, Florida Junior Panthers, and is returning for a second season coaching North Broward Preparatory School Varsity Ice Hockey Team, located in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Extracurricular

John Rennie High School has taken part in the Canadian Improv Games for the past ten years, winning the Montreal games for seven of those years. Originally, every year it supported just one team, but as of 2004-2005, it started supporting a second team, sending both teams to compete in the CIG.

For the Canadian Improv Games 2007, this coming year, it is sending in two teams. The senior team is titled The Scalalas, and the junior team is titled Amazingly Impaired.

After an intense battle of wits and inhibition-free on the spot thinking, The Scalalas overtook the Montreal competition and successfully earned themselves a place at the 2007 National Improv Tournament. They were the 5th team in a row from John Rennie to do so.

Another famous athlete who attended John Rennie was Ian Turnball, who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1980's.
